Hi! I'm Iolo

I'm a PhD student in Mathematics at Durham University; my supervisors are Jeff Giansiracusa and Yue Ren.

I work on geometry and its applications to machine learning and data analysis.

My work focuses on diffusion geometry which defines a notion of geometry for probability spaces and lets you measure that geometry from data. I'm particularly interested in applying these methods to problems in physical sciences where complex processes and functions are often determined by 'shape'.
